Veevus is known for producing the strongest fly tying threads on the market. This 8/0 thread is up to 2x stronger than comparable threads and won't result in excessive build-up. Ideal for tying smaller flies. Did we mention that this stuff is strong?

It's hard to believe how thin and strong this thread can be. After years of learning how to go easy on 8/0 so it doesn't break off (and going easy on 6/0 and 3/0 so it doesn't over-bulk) along comes this stuff that you can pretty much do anything with and it forgives: extra wraps? you won't see them. Heavy tightening? go ahead, make my day. It doesn't have the greatest range of colours, but for the last year and a half, 90% of my wet flies and nymphs and dries have been tied with black, white, tan and olive Veevus 8/0 thread.

Great All Purpose Thread

8/0 thread is my all purpose thread when tying most of my flies. Veevus 8/0 has a higher breaking strength than similar diameter threads from other manufacturers, so I don't have to worry about it breaking when I apply tight wraps around my material. I love this stuff and always recommend it when people ask which thread to use.
