Hareline's Ice Dub Shimmer Fringe is a special blend of Ice Dub fibers and Angel Hair that have been fused together at one end to form 3-1/2" wide strips. Separately, these two fly tying materials can be hard to manage when loose, so the brilliant folks at Hareline created these strips for ease of use and less mess at the fly tying bench. Use Ice Dub Shimmer Fringe for winging and fly bodies. Simply cut off a piece, tie it on your fly, add some eyes, and you've got a killer baitfish imitation that's ready to fish. Great for both freshwater & saltwater applications and we especially love them on our salmon and steelhead flies. Ice Dub Shimmer Fringe comes in 3 strips per pack and is available in 12 fish-attracting colors!

Shimmer Fringe For The Win!

I'm a huge fan of arctic fox wings and dubbing loops on streamers. My favorite way to use this stuff is to put a sparse topping on the wing or loop of fox tail. Looks amazing when tied this way. Just cut a piece of the "skin" off the entire chunk and tie it in then trim off the skin after. Makes it easier to handle.

LOVE THIS MATERIAL

Shimmer Fringe is so much easier to use than the hanks of angel hair or packages of loose Ice Wing Fiber. Long enough for big flies or you can double back for smaller streamers. Quantity is generous enough. Only question now is what to do with the Ice Wing and Angel hair I am stuck with!
