Hareline's UV Galaxy Mop Chenille is an excellent material for all of your mop fly tying needs. Mop flies imitate a grub or insect larvae that are hatching in a body of water. UV Galaxy Mop Chenille has flecks of colored mylar scattered through the fibers for just a hint of flash. This premium mop chenille will not fray when cut and can be tapered with a flame. All colors are UV fluorescent for added visibility to fish underwater. The best mop chenille on the market and available in 22 popular colors!

Favorite Mop Chenille

I tied up a bunch of Mop flies with this chenille in the tan color and hit the water with great success. Within an hour I’d caught rainbow, brook, and brown trout. This chenille holds up well, I caught at least a dozen fish on the same fly before I got a snag and had to break it off. Great mop material, just be sure you put a little dab of super glue on the tail end of chenille where you cut so that it doesn’t unravel. Awesome stuff!
