Hareline's schlappen feathers are of the best quality for fly tying. Soft, long, and very webby, these strung schlappen feathers have been dyed over white to achieve their vibrant coloring. Great for tails, wings, throats, collars, and palmered hackle on larger flies.

Love me some of that Schlappen

I love tying soft hackle wet flies but find soft hackle hard to find in a variety of colors and the feathers themselves vary in size leaving me with a lot of longer soft hackle feathers that don't fit my needs for tying .
Shlappen is a great soft hackle. The tips usually have short barbs and just a wrap or two makes a great collar for smaller soft hackle wet flies or nymphs.

BEST QUALITY SCHLAPPEN

These schlappen feathers are perfect for my wooly buggers and leaches. They also make nice tails on large poppers! Great colors to choose from and the best quality that I've found to date.

Excellent Schlappen Feathers

These schlappen feathers are a must for tying many of today's spey patterns. The feathers are plenty long, in many cases, to tie two flies. The webby hackles really have great action underwater, enhancing many streamer patterns for trout, salmon, and steelhead. Lovely selection of colors as well. Will be buying more when I run out.
