Glow-In-The-Dark Flashabou is the original metallic tinsel flash for fly tying and lure making with the added benefit of glow-in-the-dark properties. Made of soft mylar strands, it has brilliant light-reflecting properties and a lifelike movement in the water. When exposed to light, Glow-In-The-Dark Flashabou comes to life in dark and murky water. If you're looking for that extra edge to trigger fish when they're being stubborn, give this material a try. Great for tying salmon, steelhead, pike, musky, and saltwater flies as well as jigs, spinnerbaits, and bucktail skirts!
- 1/69" wide strands
- 10" in length
- Approximately 540+ strands per pack
Ive added this stuff to tails of streamers with great results. It is great used in spent wings. One thing I did do with great luck for Great Lakes Salmon is tie wolly buggers using nothing but glow in the dark flashabou (except for a bead head and the hackle). It worked great in the early morning. Caught a few salmon (coho) on it and had lots more strikes (some kings and coho). All in all a great material to use when you need that little something extra.
I just finished tying some saltwater teasers I intended to use at night for Stripers and Weakfish.
This stuff is awesome!!! Adds that touch of glow needed to attract the big boys in the dark!!!
I do a lot of night fishing and this flashabou works great. Shine a bright light on it for a few seconds to charge the glow up and cast away. I use these on my musky & pike baits. Great colors, but I especially love the green and white.
