Hareline

Hareline's Cactus Chenille is a loose weave mylar chenille, similar to ice chenille, but with pearlescent fibers for added sparkle. Cactus chenille adds a lot of flash, color, and action to your fly and is an extremely easy and effective material to work with. Wrap it tightly for a thin bodies, or multiple times for larger bodies. Great for tying wooly buggers, bass flies, plus the Davis "SPANKER", a world record winning silver salmon fly fished throughout Alaska.

  • Medium - Excellent for larger freshwater and smaller saltwater patterns. (3 yards)
  • Large - Perfect for those large saltwater flies. (3 yards)

Great for saltwater use

About nine of the ten patterns I use in saltwater use some form of cactus chenille. I have been using the Hareline brand since I started, and I love it! I'll be using it for as long as it keeps being produced. It stands up to speckled trout teeth and redfish mouths, and even sheepshead chompers. One of my favorite fly tying materials out there!

GREAT FOR ADDING FLASH TO YOUR FLIES

Essential for Crystal Buggers and fly bodies that you want to add flash to. Easy to use and the colors are great! I use them for both fresh and saltwater and they're equally effective. A+++++
