Solarez

Solarez Bone Dry Ultra-Thin is a low-viscosity fly tying UV resin that cures within seconds when exposed to UV light. This high quality UV resin allows fly tiers unlimited work time without having to worry about it drying up and hardening while tying flies. Bone Dry Ultra-Thin cures to a clear, hard, glossy finish without tackiness and won't yellow or brittle over time.

  • 0.5 fluid oz bottle

The best fly tying uv resin under the sun

After seeing countless fly tying videos where guys would use this stuff, I had to get some for myself. And let me tell ya, this stuff is great! I use it on almost every fly I make. Now keep in mind that it is very thin, so it will almost immediately soak into whatever you are applying it to. So making heads or wing cases would require something a little thicker. But for everything else, it works great!

I've found the perfect UV resin!

The viscosity of the Bone Dry Plus is absolutely perfect. I bought it to use on perdigon bodies but now find myself reaching for it each time I need to apply adhesive to a fly head. It cures with absolutely not tackiness and cures very quickly.

Zero Tack UV Resin

I’ve tied 1000s of perdigons and other resin body nymphs and tried most of the major manufacturers. Solarez Bonedry is by far my favorite resin. The super low viscosity and brush applicator took some time to get used to but now there is no going back! It is also very durable, does not yellow over time, and if cured with a good light finishes up with zero tack.

Tack-Free & Sets Quickly!

This stuff dries crystal-clear, almost like the clear lego bricks if you have a kid that uses them. Totally tack-free, which is what sets it apart from the competitors. Also, it is hard and sets up with just a 5 to 7 second "hit" with the UV torch / flashlight. If it gums up on you, the package says simply loosen the cap, pop in the microwave for 10 seconds, recap and shake, and you're good to go - I was a doubter, but can attest that it works and makes it just like new! The only reason it would gum up is due to storage in colder temps than recommended - like a basement in the winter, or such. The product is amazing, and I'm thrilled that Fly Artist is carrying it. Easily my favorite UV cure glue, and at the fly shows, this is on roughly half of the tyers' benches, which says a lot considering the variety of flies and even fly types (dries, nymphs, wets, streamers, full-dress salmon, spey and dee, etc.) that were tied at this most recent show I was just at. While I prefer the purple/blue bottle for copper johns, I reach for this bone dry ultra thin for most other applications, and most other tiers tend to have this variety on their benches at the shows.
