Hareline's mottled tactical tungsten beads are a fresh take on a standard fly tying bead. These beads feature a matte finish with contrasting mottled speckles to add color and contrast to your nymph and other fly patterns. And since they're tungsten, they'll drop your fly down like a rock to get down to where the fish are biting. These beads have proven to give many fly fisherman an edge when the fish are being picky. Available in 7 sizes and a beautiful range of colors to choose from. 20 beads per pack.

  • 5/64" (2 mm) - recommended for size 16-18 hooks
  • 3/32" (2.3 mm) - recommended for size 14-16 hooks
  • 7/64" (2.8 mm) - recommended for size 12-16 hooks

Environmentally Friendly & Heavy Beads!

These tungsten beads are well made and environmentally friendly. They get the fly down deep quickly , much better than brass beads for nymphs and streamers in fast water.

Great Coloring & Heavy Beads!

These mottled beads are just the ticket when you're looking for a something a little different to cast that the fish haven't seen. I use these mottled tactical beads on days when the fish just aren't biting. They sink fast since they're made of tungsten and seem to trigger fish when nothing else will produce. I also love the way these photograph on Instagram. That's where I first noticed them and they just look too cool for school. Favorite beads.
